Admissions

Applications for admission to the University are accepted anytime during the calendar year but should be submitted at least thirty days prior to the beginning of classes in order to permit the processing and notification through the mail.

You may obtain an application one of several ways.  Apply online or download a printable application at admissions.siuc.edu, request an application by calling (618) 536-4405, or email joinsiuc [at] siu [dot] edu.  Application requires a $30 non-refundable fee, payable by check, money order or credit card.

Special Procedures for International Students

International students interested in majoring in any Aviation discipline must follow special procedures for University Admission. For a list of procedures as well as contact information for help in meeting the procedures please visit SIUC's Office of International Programs and Services.

Aviation Flight

Students wanting to complete the professional pilot degree should apply to the University as an Aviation Flight Applicant.  Once admitted to the University as a flight applicant, a student will receive a program application.  A student cannot be fully admitted to the Flight program until the response to the second application is received.  After completing the AAS in Aviation Flight degree, the majority of graduates proceed on to the BS in Aviation Management degree on a "Two-Plus-Two" basis.

Aviation Management

Students interested in the Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Management must apply to the University as an Aviation Management Applicant.  Once admitted to the University, AVM applicants will also need to complete a program application to be fully admitted to the degree program.

Aviation Technologies

Students interested in the Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Technologies are admitted to the University directly to the degree program.  No secondary program application is required.
